Founder/Chairman of the Board
Stephen Kendig is the Founder and Chairman of the Board for illuma Care Connections. He built illuma with the initial acquisition of the technology and IP from a public company, and led its growth for several years, building a world class team and loyal customers. Stephen secured proper capitalization for the new venture in early 2016 and developed the initial growth strategy for the organization.
Prior to forming illuma Care Connections, Stephen was the founder, COO and CCO of SoloHealth, a national healthcare kiosk company. He was part of the founding team where his NIH grant helped catalyze the business and built a network that offered biometric screenings to over 40 million Americans each year. Stephen helped create SoloHealth after a successful career at Novartis leading global new product development and launching many medical devices in the eye care space.
He has an undergraduate degree from Georgia Institute of Technology and MBA from Georgia State University.

Christopher Banks is Vice President of illuma Care Connections. As the company’s leader, he is responsible for driving the corporate strategy, nurturing a positive company culture, managing investor relations, and cultivating strategic partnerships.
Before joining illuma, Christopher was the Regional Manager for the Non-emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) network in the Greater Atlanta area. Working directly with the Georgia Department of Community Health, he oversaw the operations of all Medicaid funded trips to and from doctor’s offices in Fulton, Dekalb, and Gwinnett counties. Christoper was responsible for either contracting or removing every NEMT provider, registering each new vehicle, and certifying each new driver that entered the network. Before that, he enjoyed a career in data analytics. Analyzing the workforce of multiple different companies across eight different states, he has a proven track record of reducing overhead costs, elevating efficiency levels, and increasing employee retention for multiple organizations.
Christopher comes by way of San Diego, CA, where he met his amazing wife, gave birth to an extraordinary son, and received his MBA in Information Systems from Ashford University.
Director of Operations & Technology
Megan Seyfert is the Director of Operations and Technology at illuma Care Connections.
She leads the effort to enhance operational efficiency through technological advancements, automation, data analysis, and reporting.
Megan brings over 12 years of experience in the health care and contact center industries with a strong focus on payer services, information technology, and process improvement.
Roki Chauhan, MD, FAAFP
Dr. Chauhan is an independent healthcare consultant based in Seattle, Washington. He is a Strategic Advisor to illuma and the Senior Medical Advisor to Leverage Health Solutions.
His background includes 15+ years clinical practice experience as a Board-Certified Family Physician. He has 20+ years health plan experience including being the Chief Medical Officer at Premera Blue Cross as well as a holding a variety of consulting roles at other Blue Cross Blue Shield Plans after that.
Dr. Chauhan has a B.S. degree in biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an M.D. from Tufts University School of Medicine. He completed his residency training and fellowship in Santa Rosa, California and was on the clinical faculty at the University of California, San Francisco, while in practice in California before he moved to Seattle.
